Privacy notice
What I collect, and how to say no
Short version: analytics is off until you say yes, I never record what you type into forms, and I only use your details to reply to you. Last updated 23 October 2026.
Who I am
I'm Samuel Isola, a freelance front-end developer in Ilorin, Nigeria, and I run this site. You can reach me at isolasamuel.developer@gmail.com.
When you use the audit form
I collect your name, email address, the link to your page, and what you want more of. The form is processed by Formspree, which passes it to my inbox. I use it only to send your audit and reply to you. I don't add you to a newsletter. I keep the conversation for as long as it's useful to both of us, and delete it when you ask.
When you message me on WhatsApp
The buttons open WhatsApp. From there the chat is between you and me, on WhatsApp's platform, under WhatsApp's own privacy terms.
Analytics (only if you accept)
When you first visit, a notice asks whether I can count visits. If you choose No thanks, nothing from Google or Microsoft loads. If you choose Yes, I load:
- Google Analytics 4, through Google Tag Manager, to count visits, clicks, how far people scroll, and how fast pages load.
- Microsoft Clarity, to see how visitors move and click on pages, so I can find parts that confuse people.
These tools set cookies (such as _ga, _ga_*, _clck and _clsk) and see your approximate location, device and browser. I don't send them what you type into forms; the tracking only notes which fields were touched. I don't use advertising cookies and I don't sell data.
The only thing stored without your consent is your choice itself (a small entry named tr_consent_v1 in your browser), so I don't have to ask on every page.
Your choices
- Change your mind any time with Cookie settings in the footer. Choosing No clears the analytics cookies.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, I treat it as a No and don't show the notice.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete anything I hold about you by emailing me. This covers your rights under Nigeria's Data Protection Act 2023 and similar laws such as the GDPR.
Hosting and fonts
The site is hosted on Netlify, which keeps ordinary server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability. Fonts are served from this site, not from Google Fonts.
Changes
If this notice changes in a way that matters, I'll update the date at the top.
