The full reasoning
Why a hand-coded page beats a page-builder app, and why it's still just $25
The short version is on the main page. Here's what actually breaks inside builder apps, how I build instead, and why the price is this low right now.
What goes wrong inside a page-builder app
This isn't a knock on Shopify's app ecosystem in general. It's about what happens when a page-builder app becomes the foundation for your ad landing pages.
The editor lies to you
Builders render your layout in their own dashboard, with different rendering logic from your live storefront. A layout that looks pixel-perfect while you build it can break, overlap or misalign once it's published, because you were previewing an approximation, not the real thing.
Uninstalling doesn't mean it's gone
Even Shopify's cleaner Theme App Extension system doesn't fully solve this. When a builder app is removed, scripts it injected into your theme can stay behind: invisible, but still running, still requesting resources, still slowing your store down long after the app is history.
Your theme and the app were never designed to agree
Builder elements bring their own typography, spacing and colour logic. Unless every value is manually overridden, they clash with the rest of the store, which is why so many landing pages look bolted on.
Stability isn't guaranteed, even for native blocks
App Blocks are Shopify's more modern, theme-native approach, but CDN caching and asset build quirks can still make blocks randomly stop rendering on specific templates while they work fine elsewhere.
The real cost is never the sticker price
A base builder plan covers the editor. Bundle apps, review widgets and countdown timers are usually separate line items, so the advertised starting price rarely reflects what a merchant pays once the page needs to convert.
The approach: no builder, no framework, no dependencies
The page I build for your store is hand-written: semantic HTML, CSS-first interactions, and JavaScript only where nothing else will do (usually nowhere at all). That's not a stylistic preference. It removes every failure mode above by construction:
- Nothing to uninstall means nothing gets left behind.
- No external app means nothing to fight your theme's styles.
- No visual-editor abstraction means what you preview is what ships.
- A fluid, mobile-first layout holds up across screen sizes without a patch job.
- Technical SEO basics, such as metadata and structured page data, are included by default.
On speed specifically: builder apps commonly add hundreds of kilobytes of extra JavaScript to render things a hand-coded page does with a few lines of CSS. That weight has a direct, measurable cost on mobile load time, which is where most ad traffic lands.
Why this won't stay $25
$25 is a launch rate, not a permanent one. This is a new offer for Shopify stores, so there's no Shopify-specific portfolio yet, and the fastest, most honest way to build one is to price the entry point low enough that saying yes is an easy decision.
That's also why payment works differently here: you pay after you're satisfied with the result, not before. The rate is capped at the first 7 stores. After that, the price reflects what the work actually takes.
Who's building this
I'm Samuel Isola, a front-end developer and conversion researcher who studies why visitors hesitate to trust a business, and builds that research into every page.

A few more questions
Before you message
Why not just use a page-builder app if it's faster to set up?
It's faster to start, not faster to finish. The time you save is spent later debugging editor-versus-live mismatches, untangling leftover scripts, or paying for bundle apps that weren't in the original budget.
What happens if I'm not satisfied?
You get 5 rounds of revisions, and you only pay once you're satisfied.
Do I need any technical knowledge?
No. You send the store link and offer details, and the page comes back as a link ready to plug into your ad campaign.
What if my store outgrows a single static page?
Tell me when you get there. That's a different, more involved conversation, and it's better to have it once you actually need it than to build for a hypothetical.
Is $25 really the full price?
$25 covers the landing page, the thank-you page and basic SEO. For extras like CRM or analytics integration, email me for a quote. Extras are priced under $50.
Still deciding? That's what this page was for.
When you're ready, message me your store link and what you're advertising. Launch rate: first 7 stores only.
